WORLD OCTOPUS DAY 2026
“Protect the Ocean, Protect the Octopus.”
Celebrated on 8 October, World Octopus Day highlights these fascinating and intelligent creatures and their important role in maintaining healthy marine ecosystems.
Octopuses are remarkable marine animals known for their intelligence, adaptability, camouflage, and unique behaviors. As part of the ocean food web, they contribute to the balance and health of marine ecosystems.
However, our oceans face growing threats from pollution, overfishing, habitat destruction, and climate change, putting marine life at risk.
Protect our oceans. Protect marine life. Protect our future.
